More than 20 hunters joined us at Glenwood Springs Gun Club on Saturday, October 10, for our free Hunter Sight-In Day. It was a great afternoon at the range in South Canyon—and a reminder of what we can accomplish when our club comes together.
Made possible by our volunteers
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who volunteered. From running the line and spotting shots to helping with targets and welcoming guests, your time and experience made the day possible. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Our volunteers helped hunters check their rifles and prepare for the season, while making the range a welcoming place for members and visitors alike.
Supporting ethical hunting
Sighting in is an important part of preparing for an ethical hunt. Checking equipment and understanding personal limits helps hunters make responsible decisions in the field and reduces the risk of wounding an animal.
A club that gives back
Opening the range to the public gives our neighbors a chance to get to know the club and the people behind it. Events like this show the City of Glenwood Springs and the wider community the value of a place where people can practice safely, learn from experienced volunteers, and prepare responsibly for hunting season.
It was also a chance to spend time together, lend a hand, and share something we enjoy.
We’ll be back next year
Thank you to everyone who attended, spread the word, or volunteered. We look forward to doing it again next year!
